The name "AA battery" could be pronounced "ay-ay battery" or "double ay battery". It is a cylindrical dry cell battery that is popular in portable devices as it is no longer than 50 millimetres (1.97 inches) and possesses a width of forget about than14.2 mm (0.56 inches).
